Happy Halloween!
HALLOWEEN 2010!
Is Halloween over yet? It feels like I've gotten someone dressed up every day for weeks now. This was the kick off to our first Halloween event- the annual Barnhisel party. Kate and I dressed up as Alice in Wonderland and Randy and Sean were Michael Jackson.
I haven't attempted this hair do since Junior Prom, and it will be at least another 16 years before I try it again. I used an entire bottle of hair spray, ruined my curling iron, and had my fingers stuck together for days. I guess it was worth not having to wear an itchy wig. My costume was itchy enough!
Sean's been wearing his costume for months now, but it looks so much cooler with all the accessories. Randy went gangster, decked out in Smooth Criminal attire.
The party was at Dave and Shanna's house. They were all Star Wars people. Here are Shanna and little Kyle as Yoda.
Grandma Chris always gets the prize for the most outrageous costume. She about poked my eye out more than once with this hat. Sean and Kate stayed away. A little too scary!Aunt Amy is always good for a laugh!
Keeping up with tradition, we had the annual "paint the pumpkins" at Grandma's house.
In the middle of it all, it snowed a good 4 inches. Sean wanted to build a snowman. Since it was melting fast I told him there wasn't enough snow for a snowman, but he could go run around and play in it. Then Dada got home for lunch and...voila...a giant snowman. Shows how much I know. Oh yeah and those pumpkins are the big harvest from our garden. Only one pumpkin vine survived this year.
Going against tradition, I decided we'd venture out to the ward party. What the what?? The Barnhisels at a ward party. Someone must have spiked our punch.
Kids playing musical chairs. My kids need to read "Musical Chairs for Dummies." Every time the music stopped there was only one chair left. Sean and Kate still couldn't figure out that one of them should sit on it. They thought they won for being the first ones out.
Preschool party!! All of the teachers and parents thought that Sean's costume was the best. All of the Kids thought he was a nutcracker. I guess they just aren't as cool as Sean.

Now a trip to Dada's work. Here's mini Michael...
And here's Michael and all the Thriller zombies. Apparently no one agreed on what Michael video they should dress up as.
