Christmas 2012

... as I was saying, I had barely fallen asleep when Sean woke me up at 2:00 saying, "Mom, it's Christmas!  Did Santa come yet?"  I did everything I could to get him to sleep again.  I spent the next 2 hours tickling his back, rubbing his hair, and I even put a movie on.  At 4:00 he started crying.  I felt so bad for him,  I told him if he just let me sleep for 30 minutes, I would wake up Randy and we could go open presents.  I actually did fall asleep for about 20 minutes when I heard Kate giggling from downstairs!  That little stinker got up and snuck down by herself.  Well, I yelled for her to get back upstairs and I went and woke Randy up.  Time to get down to business!

They each found their pile of presents and got busy making a mess.

Randy pretended to be awake.  He looks pretty funny in the santa blanket.

Kate got her Lalaloopsy doll she really wanted.

Sean got a ton of Peter Pan and Captain Hook toys.  He loves "Jake and the Neverland Pirates."

This is Jake's ship, Bucky.  It was on the top of every Santa list he made.  It was the only thing he told Santa he wanted.  I felt so bad, it was literally the last present he opened, and I could tell he was getting nervous that Santa had forgotten.  He looked so relieved when he found his prized present.

Kate got the cutest playhouse and tons of dolls and girlie stuff to fill it up.

Randy and I gave her the pink rocking chair.  It is inscribed on the bottom.  We did the same thing with a rocking horse we gave Sean when he was about this age.

Sean and Kate got a 3DS from Mom and Dad.  Sean wasted no time getting his running.  I love that they can get netflix on these little machines.  I can't imagine having something so cool when I was a kid.

We had family come over all day.  I was in such a daze with only 20 minutes of sleep, I didn't get many pictures.  That evening, Grandma Jinx and Grandpa Don came over.  Jinx loved the playhouse as much as Kate.  The three of them spent some quality time in there.

All in all, it was a pretty awesome Christmas!
