Next up, Sloan!! But first, his baby shower...

Sloan was born December 8th, which was the biggest event of the holiday.  However, since I'm so far behind, I haven't posted pictures of the awesome baby shower we gave Jess.  This shower was in October, but I have to put these up since I went to so much work.  I want to thank Pinterest for wasting so much of my time making over the top food and decorations.  If it weren't for Emily, Michelle, and my mom to step in at the 11th hour to finish these crazy ideas, I would have been in trouble.

Jess is doing a sock monkey nursery, so we of course had to do sock monkey everything.  First up, the cupcakes.  These were actually so easy to make, and turned out really cute.

Next up, creepy baby fruit bowl.  This was not easy at all.  Thanks to Michelle for pulling it off.  It was a good conversation piece.

This sock monkey diaper cake literally took me a good 8 hours to make, not to mention the weeks of shopping online for red, black and gray colored blankets, bibs and burp cloths.  It was a bugger of a project.  One I won't be repeating, but it really turned out cute.   It consists of 40 diapers, 3 bibs, 3 burp cloths, 2 receiving blankets, 1 pair of socks, 1 bottle, a toy ring, and 2 sock monkeys.  I saw some online that were selling for over $100.  I thought that was ridiculous and I could make my own.  Well, I  was into mine well over $100 by the time I was done.  Next time, I'll just get the credit card out and save some time!  It was made with a lot of love and swearing.

There were plenty more painful details that had to be attended to!  We played The Price is Right, and the poopy diaper game.  Good times.

Jess got so much!  It was such a fun shower and I'm so glad so many of her friends and family could come.

I love this photo of all the women that make up our crazy family.

The Moffords are a pretty sweet bunch of ladies too!

So cute! You did a great job with the shower. That's the theme I'm doing for Wyatt's 1 year Birthday;)
