First day of preschool and 1st grade!
My baby is old enough for school! She is so grown up and mature for her age that I was really excited for her to do something that would challenge her a little. Needless to say, preschool is a breeze for her. It is night and day compared to when I dropped off Sean for his first day. No tears, no worries, she just went in and became the queen bee of the class. When I would pick up Sean he wouldn't tell me anything about his day. Kate on the other hand starts talking the second the door of the car opens and tells me every detail about the day. She is amazing, and quite a cute little school girl.
Kate started school a week before Sean, so he got to take her to school in his jammies.
She only has to wear uniforms on Tuesdays, so here is her second day of school in regular clothes.
Sean's first day of 1st grade. I don't know if Sean or I was more nervous about this day. This would be the longest we've ever been away from each other. He was all smiles going to school. Picking him up was a different story. He was completely upset that his teacher wanted him to keep his pencil box at school. We spent a week trying to find one exactly the same as the one I bought a month ago so that he would have one at home and one at school. Seriously? Of all things I was worried about, I had no idea the biggest obstacle would be a pencil box. By the way, I begged Sean not to wear black socks, but he had to have his socks match his shoes.
Kate is clearly not a morning person. We dragged her little tush out of bed to go drop him off.
Sean was pretty excited to have his own desk and not just a spot at a table. His teacher seems really nice and I think he will have a great year.
Let's see, he has hike, camp, piano, swim, dance, space, Michael Jackson, sharks, wolf. Yep that pretty much sums him up.

Cute school kids! I still can't get over Kate's hair in the morning. She is a girl after my own heart. I feel that way until at least 11am.
