I don't know where the kids were more excited to go- Disneyland or Albuquerque. It was Grace's big 8th birthday, and we promised her we would go to her baptism. So a week after we got home from California, we got back on the plane to go to New Mexico. Sean's catch phrase for the last 6 weeks has been, "yeah, after Grace gets baptized we get to go to the aquarium, huh mom."
This is the morning of her baptism when she opened up a few presents we brought her.
A couple hours later they looked like a million bucks. What a good looking group of cousins!
A little art work to break up the day. Sean saw Grace wearing head to toe black, so he went in the suitcase and found a similar outfit for himself. What little boy even notices stuff like that? Yep, Sean does.
The kids spent a whole 10 minutes in the rest of the aquarium. They all bolted straight to the shark tank, the coolest place ever.
The zoo! We love this zoo for the polar bears, sea lions, and jaguars. We were lucky enough to see a mountain lion kill a bird and eat it. Then we had to walk through the blood dripping through the grate overhead. Hope that wasn't one of the zoo's prize birdies. Gross.

It was almost the perfect trip. We had no major incidents through the whole weekend, and then about an hour before we had to leave, Kate had a major melt down, and while I was trying to get her out of her car seat, Sean kicked David's car door into Michelle's open car door and made a nice crease in the side. Sean said, "I just wrecked Uncle David's car." Yes you did, little stinker. Sorry David! Now you can think of us every time you get in your car. Maybe Grandpa Lyle can fix that the next time you're in town.
Grace and Sean are true BFFs. She is so sweet and fun to him. We couldn't ask for a better cousin.
Hooray for the Chapmans moving to a city that has one of the coolest aquariums and zoos around!
We spent the afternoon in Old Town shopping for dream catchers and having lunch. This church is old. I can't remember when it was built, I think in the 1700s.
This sweet bear gave the kids a real show. He swam up to them and then pushed off the glass with his huge paws.
Can you say CoverGirl? Seriously Hattie, you are beautiful!
Thanks Shell for hosting a great weekend for us. We had so much fun.

Glad we could provide a fun weekend. Just remember, it's a lot cheaper to come to Albuquerque than to go to Disneyland! I think we did pretty darn good if the only thing that went wrong was a door ding. Thanks for coming!!!
Looks like an Amazing trip! We love spending time with our cousins too. So fun to watch the relationships grow and how much they love each other. So fun for you to have so many trips in a row :)
