Sunny's first Christmas.

Everyone loves to pick out the Christmas tree, but no one likes to help decorate it.  That is, except Sunflowers. She was my pal this year. We had many Christmas Vacation moments when she jumped out at me just like the squirrel. She also undecorated the tree more times than I can count, but it was the best present ever for her. I felt really bad when we took it out. She looked like we had just thrown away her favorite toy.

Kate also got into decorating about half way through. I know a lot of people get into making their trees look like a magazine, but I just let the kids go nuts and throw everything they want on it. With real trees, you can't really make everything stay where you want anyway.

The elves always come the night we put up the tree. It's their signal that we're ready for Christmas and ready to be nice! This year they brought the kids matching PJs. They are so thoughtful.

There was this little note that came with the PJs written in tiny elf handwriting. The kids thought it was great and wrote them letters EVERY SINGLE NIGHT FOR 30 DAYS. Hope Hart and Fisbee got all of those notes put somewhere safe!
