Christmas Programs

Here is the first of many Christmas posts. We had the best Christmas time ever. It started with the kids Christmas programs at school. Remember how I said I did everything this year? Well, while I was meeting with the 2nd grade teachers to plan the feast, they asked me if I knew of anyone who played the piano. Seriously? I so wanted to tell them nope, but I guess I just cannot tell a lie. It really is one of my faults. I tell on myself constantly. Anyway, they assured me it was just a "cute little song" and wouldn't be a big deal. Now as someone who has volunteered to play the piano many times in my life, I know that when someone tells you it will be no big deal, it's going to be a big freaking deal! This was no different. In fact it may have been one of my biggest challenges ever while accompanying something. Have you ever heard of Seven Feet of Snow? Well, you should google it. It was the craziest  song I've ever heard, and it's one of those that gets faster and faster until you think your fingers may cramp and break off. I seriously had to practice this song constantly to pull it off, and not to toot my own horn, but I totally nailed it.

Kate was such a cutie in her school girl uniform.

Lucky duck got to sit right next to Santa. Although he really looked nothing like Santa… Kate had lots of questions about him.
