Lessons galore! (and a few kitty pics)

Well, let's get real, blogging is basically bragging right? So here is a post of all the awesome things my kids do. I'm so proud of how hard they have worked this year in all of their lessons! Sean started taking drums for the second time. The first time I started him, I could tell he just wasn't ready. I gave him a couple years to mature, and he absolutely loves the drums now. He loves practicing and has picked some awesome songs…Billie Jean, Eye of the Tiger, Free Fallin', and New Sensation. Drums are the perfect instrument for him. He is learning music, but gets instant gratification from being able to play cool songs right off the bat unlike other instruments that take years of practice before you get to play something cool. I love that he has finally found something that he really enjoys!

Rough life kitty…I hope I am a cat in the next life.

Kate started gymnastics this year. She loves it. This is a picture from her first week of lessons. She was put in the "Hot Shots" class this summer because she's one of the best in her age group. I'm a little worried about where this is going. I will support them in whatever they choose, but I know for a fact gymnastics is hard on the body, and can be full of disappointment. I hope she just does it for fun and doesn't get too competitive. But if I know Kate, she will want to be first. She is already talking about medals and trophies.

Kate got her alphabet crown in preschool. It's a pretty big deal.

Time for a little cat nap! Suns is so cute, and loves her Mama.

Sean at drum lessons. I love how hard he concentrates. He is so cute!

Let's not forget my third child. I think Sloan has spent half of his life at my house. Randy's psychic lady told him he's supposed to have 3 kids. I think she was seeing Sloan.

The only thing bigger than the alphabet crown is the blending badge. Kate worked so hard to get this. It's when they give a test to make sure you can blend all the sounds together before they start reading. She was so happy! Notice Sloan's blanket in the seat next to her? That's because he stayed with us for a couple weeks in the fall while his mama was busy in Texas.

Then there's dance. Kate thought she needed to take tap, jazz and ballet this year. She is one over scheduled kid. I forgot to mention she also started piano.

One more shot of Sunflowers aka Suns, Kits, Sunny, Merfhisel.
