Las Vegas

I don't know any other kids that beg to go to Las Vegas, but mine do. Kate's been asking when she can pet the dolphins again ever since we went 2 years ago. Last time we went, I saw signs for a Michael Jackson Cirque du Soleil coming soon, and I filed that in my brain of something we should see someday. We decided to stay at The Hotel at Mandaly Bay since that is where the Michael show is, and the sharks! We got a pretty sweet suite.

First up, shopping! A family that shops together, stays together. Kate must have asked me a hundred times if we were inside or outside. It's so hard to tell in Vegas!

Next up, the Cheesecake Factory. This place has special meaning to us since Randy and I went to Vegas on our honeymoon. We discovered the Cheesecake Factory and ate there for every meal.

Dolphin time! Seriously for having kids who love dolphins and tigers, this place is the best! Kate was in heaven. Sean was a little timid just like he was last time. Funny kids.

This time they let the kids feed them fish. Sean did not want to touch the fish. Big surprise. Kate was all about it.

Next up the white lions and tigers. These animals are seriously gorgeous. Siegfried (of Siegfried and Roy) was actually there this time.

Unlike most places with animals in captivity, the animals here actually look like they're having a good time.

This big boy came right up to Sean to say hi.

I'm so glad I picked this hotel. Right at the bottom of the elevators was the Michael Jackson show. They hallway was decked out with huge pictures and memorabilia. Sean was in heaven. I must have taken a million pictures of him copying Michael's poses.

Here is one of Michael's real jackets. Sean has this one for a costume. He was really excited to see the original.

Here are the Billie Jean socks…awesome!

Let's go see some sharks!

These are the doors that lead into the show. Pretty cool if you ask me!

Every few minutes, this hallway plays Michael songs and the floor and ceiling light up.

It was so nice that we could go swimming in February!

Huck me Dada!

Finally….show time!! This was hands down the coolest show I've ever seen…and I've seen a lot of shows. The music was awesome, the acrobats were amazing, and they had a hologram of Michael that was so real, the kids thought they saw him. One day I'll have to tell them the Michael died, but they are so into him these days, I don't want to be the one to spoil it for them. He's kind of like Santa at our house.

The kids rockin the red carpet before the show. Little cuties. We have the best time together!
