Sean turns 4, Kate starts walking!

Sean turned 4 years old and started preschool on Tuesday. It was a big day. He was so excited to go to school, he didn't even tell us goodbye when the teacher got him out of the car. However, the excitement must not have lasted too long. When we picked him up he got in the car and said, "did you cry at preschool?" After talking to him all day, I managed to get out of him that the teacher got mad at him, he had crackers, went down a slide, and cried. Today did not bode so well with getting out of the car. He grabbed my neck and wouldn't let go. It was so sad, but I guess they have to figure it out sooner or later. I can't wait to go get him and see if it went any better today. I get to spotlight him for his birthday too.

We celebrated Sean's birthday all week it seems. We started with a big bash at Wheeler Farm with a few of his preschool buddies and all the Barnhisel cousins. There were little boys as far as the eye could see. This is them feeding the ducks.

Sean guarding his presents.

Sean got quite the loot as always. Thank you everyone that came and brought such great gifts. We had to clean out all the old toys in the playroom to make room for the new toys.

They finished the party with a scorching hayride. I managed to pick the hottest day of the year for his party!

Grandma Chris with all of her grandchildren. Can you spot the two girls in there?

Grandma Debbie and Kate. What would we do without Grandma and Aunt Em to help us?

We had another party Sunday with Grandma "Curly" and Grandpa Lyle. My Grandma's name is Pearlie, but Sean has renamed her.

Grandpa Lyle got Sean a dart gun. It was his favorite present, my least favorite since I have to pick up all the darts and make sure Kate doesn't choke on them. I guess anything that keeps Sean entertained for hours is fine by me.

I'm so happy we have such a sweet little boy, and I'm so proud of him for trying so hard to be a big boy. Sean cracks us up everyday with his funny personality. We love to watch him dance and sing to anything that sounds like music. Whenever he sees something funny on TV he rewinds it over and over. I think we watched Elmo toss a cow at least 500 times. He is a good big brother and tries to make Kate laugh. He is so sweet when he asked to "give Kates a mooch." Some of the funny things he says right now are, "I'm supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, how are you?" "I'll spank that motorcycle's bum." and "Holy John Stamos." We can thank Randy for teaching him all of that. We love you Seaners!!

Here are a couple cute videos. Kate learned how to walk this week! What a little munchkin.
