Watch out Bach, here comes Barnhisel.

I guess this is one of my most proud Mama moments. Sean had been working on his Trick or Treat song for about six weeks. He just started the piano a few months ago, and usually won't play for anyone. I was almost positive he wouldn't get up and play especially after seeing how large the audience was. The recital was really cute. His teacher, Morgan did a Halloween recital and everyone was dressed in costume and played spooky songs.

When it was Sean's turn, I walked behind him practically pushing him on the stage. When he got up the stairs he took his hat off and waved it in the air. Everyone thought he was so funny so they gave him a round of applause. After a few encouraging comments he decided he would play. When he was done he gave the crowd another arm in the sky, no bow from this kid. Although he was the only student with his mom, little sister, and music (which he did have memorized but insisted he needed it) at the piano, I was so shocked and proud that he did it. Great job buddy!

Randy's only job was to record the 10 second song. I even had two camera's ready so that he could record with one and grab a photo with the other since I knew it would be so short. Well, we got the last 4 notes...Dada....you can't be trusted with anything! Oh yeah, and if I looked surprised to see Kate on the stage it's because I had no idea that she had followed us up there.

Good job Sean!!! Nice video... I have given up trying to take video and still pics at the same time. It's one or the other. Love the recital in costume idea!
